Whether you’re dealing with the complexity of large zoom sessions with multiple break-out rooms, the intricacies of the Virtual Learning Environment, or managing multiple communication channels with students, online teaching can be a challenge. Stepping back and leaving space can be a simple but profound and effective strategy for coping with these demands, and the stress that can accompany them. This session will explore the Wu Wei approach to teaching and reflect on a few, practical strategies for ‘letting go’ in online teaching. 

Course Outcomes/ Objectives;

  • Describe the principles of Wu Wei teaching  
  • Apply these principles in the context of their own teaching at Strathclyde  
  • Plan to engage further with these and other related principles
