Target Audience: All staff with a role in PG Research Supervision

As a supervisor you are responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and conduct of student projects, including any ethical considerations that emerge. This workshop provides an opportunity for you to identify ethical challenges in research, considers the purpose of research ethics review, and supports you in positioning research ethics at the heart of the supervisory experience.

 

Facilitator: Sophie Welch is a leadership coach and ethics consultant focusing on researcher development embedded within a culture of integrity (haloclinecoaching.com). Sophie works with Higher Education Institutions across Scotland and beyond, and sits as Vice-Chair of the NHS North of Scotland Research Ethics Committee (I).
