Target Audience: Staff involved in delivering teaching
The recent pivot to blended and online learning was a unique opportunity for Strathclyde's staff to demonstrate all of our values in creating high quality strategies for teaching, learning and assessment to support the student experience. These efforts were appreciated by our students in the results from the 2021 National Student Survey (NSS), which saw Strathclyde jump up 28 places to 4th in UK.
Now, as we begin planning for an anticipated return to campus, that same spirit of innovation is required to negotiate the challenges and leverage the opportunities of hybrid learning, a reality that may see some students accessing teaching in-person while others participate remotely.
These drop-in sessions offer an opportunity each week for staff to come along and seek advice on any aspect of the design and delivery of blended, online and hybrid learning. Given the remarkable amount of innovation and learning that is currently taking place, we also encourage staff to come and share questions, ideas or experiences - including what has worked well and where there are further opportunities for improvement. A small team of facilitators will be there to discuss, advise, support, and work alongside you to consider how these approaches might work best for you and your students within your own discipline and context.
