Support to stay well in the face of all the challenges of student life!

This is a 9-week, 2 hour series of therapeutic writing workshops facilitated by Sarah Lockwood, counsellor from the Disability and Wellbeing Service. Everyone has a story. Writing it down can help you in many different ways. If you've ever put pen to paper, you might already know how powerful words can be. It can be helpful when you've had difficult experiences to get them out of your head and onto the page. The sharing of life stories can create lasting bonds between people, support personal growth and give people the chance to view their journey in a different light.

"Over the last 25 years every time they research the effects of writing on your mental health it robustly demonstrates that it does something helpful." John McCormack, Scottish Recovery Network. Get together with others in a supportive environment that will faciliate you getting in touch with your creative energies to tell your story, in your way, to whom you want.

The Group will be in Room 644 in the Graham Hills Building. This room can be accessed from Richmond Street, 40 or 50 George. You will have the shortest walk if you take the lift from the entrance at 40 George Street! Be sure to turn left to the lifts as you go in the building.
