This information session will give potential participants wishing to embark on the ILM 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring the opportunity to discover more about the programme. The session will give an overview of course content, delivery methods and assessment requirements. It will also offer a short introduction to coaching skills. After the information session and if you are wishing to participate in the full programme you will be asked to register for the programme prior to workshop 1.  Joining instructions, details of access to the My Place page and the course text book will be then sent to you.  Full programme dates and further information are below and give an indication of time commitment. 

Further Course Information

The aim of the programme is to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to be a business coach within an organisational setting. The course begins with getting to grips with coaching skills and understanding the competency framework. This is built upon by exploring other coaching techniques, models, and approaches. Reflection and continuing your development as a coach is also a key feature. Fundamentally, the programme will develop your strength and capacity as a coach. There is a real focus on skills development throughout the workshops as well as between workshops you will be expected to coach participants and receive coaching. All programme dates are below.

1:1 coach supervision

Tutor support available through regular drop-in sessions

· Workshop delivery will be virtual over Zoom for the full programme. It is recommended that you commit a full day for workshops 1 to 3 with delivery taking place in the morning and coaching practice in the afternoon. Workshops 4 and 5 run over ½ a day and the tutorial session lasts for 2 hours.

· Peer coaching practice takes place between sessions.

· All programme resources, e-learning modules and additional reading are available on the programme My place page. The programme text book will be sent to you.

· Included in the programme is 1:1 coach supervision with tutor support available at regular drop-in sessions.

 

The programme cost is £2300, there is a 20% discount for Strathclyde staff bringing the total payment to £1850 for all programme workshops, e-learning, text book, resources, supervision and tutorial support.  Payment options are available.
