Target Audience: Postgraduate Research Students

The aim of the course is to build resilient structures and strategies so that participants will be confident in presenting themselves in networking and in other professional situations. Participants will leave with action plans and personal networking strategies to build innovative, personally positive and sustainable career networks for their future.

A number of models and activities will be used including networking and game theories, team model canvas, creative collaborative theories and practices and personal communication styles. 

By the end of the workshop participants will have: 

  • built resilient structures and strategies for confidence in presenting themselves in networking and other professional situations
  • formulated actions plans and personal networking strategies to build innovative, personally positive and sustainable career networks for their future

PG Certificate in Researcher Professional Development

All postgraduate research students are eligible to access the Researcher Development Programme workshops. This workshop can contribute towards the PG Certificate in Researcher Professional Development (PG Cert RPD).

You can find credit and class information in the Researcher Development Programme Handbook and in NEPTUNE (Engineering, HaSS) or SPIDER (Science).

Please check with your department or Supervisor to confirm if you are enrolled on the PG Cert RPD and how many credits you are expected to achieve if you are unsure.
